Blue's Bayou

Menu: Seafood dominates this New Orleans-style restaurant's menu, with ribs, chicken and a steak also offered.  You can't go wrong ordering one of their specials, and there is usually a seafood feature of the day.

Features: Seafood is the main feature of this restaurant, with the emphasis on fresh and spicy. The sauces and spices are Cajun and the presentation is colourful. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and give excellent service without intruding.  This restaurant is located over the shoreline, so the deck is the place to be in the warmer months. During the winter months, it would be very cosy inside, and the excellent food will keep you warm. This is a small restaurant, so reservations are recommended.

Address: 899 Marchant, Brentwood Bay, BC V8M 1B5 (Google map)

Phone: (250) 544-1194

Website: Blues Bayou Cafe

Getting There: There is bus service to Brentwood Bay, but you will have to walk several blocks to the restaurant. It is located just south of the Brentwood Bay ferry terminal. Driving to this restaurant would be best - follow the numerous signs, and print out the Google map. It will take 20-30 minutes to drive from downtown Victoria, or about 15 minutes from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal. A nearby parking lot is available, although it fills up during busy times.  There is little to no street parking.
